Ways to deposit
| Payment method | Type | Fee | Processing time | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EFT bank transfer | Local bank transfer | Free | 1–2 business days | A straight EFT from your South African bank account is the option most of our clients use for larger amounts. The funds reflect on your trading account within one to two business days, depending on your bank’s processing cut-off times. |
| Visa debit or credit card | Debit / credit card | Free | Instant | Visa lets you fund your account straight from a South African-issued debit or credit card. Once the payment is authorised, the deposit usually reflects immediately. Your bank may ask for extra verification through Visa Secure. |
| Mastercard | Debit / credit card | Free | Instant | Mastercard offers a fast, protected way to deposit online. For security, your bank may prompt Mastercard Identity Check verification; once the transaction is approved the funds are normally credited at once. |
| Ozow | Instant EFT | Free | Instant | Ozow connects straight to your bank for instant EFT payments from any South African bank. You approve the payment in your banking app and the deposit reflects on your account without the usual one to two day wait. |
| Capitec Pay | Mobile bank payment | Free | Instant | Capitec Pay lets Capitec clients approve deposits directly in their banking app. After you confirm the payment, funds are credited immediately, with no card details to enter. |
Deposits are credited to your trading account in rand. The minimum initial deposit is set by the Basic plan, From R4,500, which you can review on the Fees & Pricing page.
Ways to withdraw
| Payment method | Type | Fee | Processing time | Description |

| Mastercard | Debit / credit card | Free | 1–5 business days | Mastercard withdrawals are generally returned to the original card. Processing time depends on the issuing bank and the payment processor and normally takes one to five business days. |
Withdrawals are paid to accounts and cards in your own name, after identity verification. The full rules, limits and the reasons a request can be held are in our Withdrawal Policy.
A few practical notes
Business days
Processing times count business days, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. A request submitted late on Friday afternoon starts its clock on the next business day.
Same-name rule
Funds must come from, and go to, accounts and cards in your own name. Third-party payments cannot be accepted and are returned to the sender, which can add several days.
Help choosing
Your personal manager will compare the methods for your amounts and bank before your first deposit, so you are not guessing between Ozow, Capitec Pay and EFT on your own.
