Withdrawal Policy

This policy sets out how withdrawals from AfriLegacy AI work: which methods are available, how long they take, what checks apply and what can hold a request. Using the platform means you accept these rules, so read them once properly, they are shorter than most phone contracts and considerably clearer.

01

Available withdrawal methods

Withdrawals are paid in rand by EFT bank transfer to your South African bank account, or back to the Visa or Mastercard you used for deposits where your bank supports refunds to card. Each method, its type and its standard processing window are listed in the tables on the Deposit & Withdrawal Methods page; this policy governs all of them.

02

Processing times

EFT withdrawals are normally completed within one to two business days of approval. Card refunds take one to five business days, depending on the issuing bank and the payment processor, neither of which is under our control. Approval itself happens on business days, so a request submitted on Friday evening begins processing on Monday. During periods of heavy market activity, reviews can take longer, and you will be told if that happens.

03

Fees and charges

AfriLegacy AI charges no fee for withdrawals to your own bank account or card. Costs that can arise, such as a digital-asset network fee or a third-party payment provider charge, are shown before you confirm the request. If a screen ever presents you a withdrawal cost that is not explained, do not confirm it; ask [email protected] first.

04

Limits

Minimum and maximum amounts apply per method and per request, and higher plan tiers carry higher ceilings. The limits that matter for your account are displayed at the moment you create a request, which is also where verification status has its effect: until identity verification is complete, the maximum available per request is reduced, in line with our AML / KYC policy.

05

Identity and security checks

Every withdrawal goes through the platform's standard checks: that the destination is in your own name, that your account is in good standing and that nothing in the request contradicts your profile. First withdrawals and requests to newly changed bank details attract a stricter review and can require a second confirmation from your registered email. These checks exist to make sure the money reaches you and only you.

06

Reasons a request can be delayed or declined

The common causes: banking or card details that do not match your verified identity; an open identity verification or a document that has expired; a deposit that has not yet settled from your bank; activity flagged for review under anti-money laundering procedures; an unresolved complaint or investigation touching the account; and technical or regulatory holds that the law imposes on us. A decline is never final without an explanation: you are told the reason and what will resolve it.

07

Your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the banking and payment details on your account. Money sent to details you entered incorrectly is difficult and sometimes impossible to recover, and the recovery effort, involving your bank's dispute process, takes far longer than the original transfer. Check the account number digit by digit before confirming, and keep your details current when you change banks.

08

Cancelling or changing a request

While a withdrawal is still in "requested" status, you can cancel it yourself from the dashboard and the amount returns to your balance. Once processing has begun, cancellation is no longer possible from your side; contact support if something is genuinely wrong and we will do what the payment rails allow. Changing the destination of an in-flight payment is not possible, which is one more reason to check details before, not after.

09

Support

Questions about a specific withdrawal go to [email protected] with your request reference. Client Support & Compliance answers during Monday to Friday, 08:00–18:00 SAST (excluding public holidays), and status enquiries about delayed payments are prioritised. If a request has passed its stated window without word from us, chase it; you are entitled to a clear answer about where your money is.

Policy updates

This policy can be updated as methods, limits or legal requirements change. The current version is always this page, and material changes are announced through the platform's usual channels before they take effect. The date a change takes effect is the date it is published here.
